Cheshire and Warrington Physical Activity Task Force (PATF) is delighted to announce the appointment of a new Chair, Steve McNicholas, following a rigorous recruitment process.

Task Force members are responsible for driving delivery of Cheshire and Warrington’s Blueprint to tackle Inactivity – the plan agreed to encourage movement in everyday life.

Steve brings a wealth of experience following a 30-year executive career across several industries. He has held senior positions in major organisations including Santander Group, Royal Bank of Scotland and TransUnion, Steve also established his own consultancy and training business and has led successful teams across the UK and internationally. He is an experienced leader with a track record of helping organisations to achieve challenging goals. Steve is passionate about physical activity and nutrition and welcomes the opportunity to take the helm as Task Force Chair this month.

Steve commented “I’m humbled to be selected to lead this incredible team. It’s clear that we need leaders from all parts of society to help to promote and encourage active lifestyles. I am looking forward to meeting local stakeholders and community to take forward local ambiitons’

Anne Boyd, CEO of Active Cheshire and facilitator of the Blueprint commented “Despite significant investment, hard work and strong progress, more than 166,000 local adults continue to lead sedentary lifestyles. Steve has the experience and talent to help the team as we move into the delivery phase of our collective plan which will improve life for so many local people’.
