How far could you walk, run, swim or cycle to support those in need?

This September, the British Red Cross has launched their Miles for Refugees campaign and are asking you to make your miles count, whether you are running a marathon, cycling to work or just walking the dog. Imagine what refugees face having travelled immense distances, to escape conflict, away from loved ones they’ve had to leave behind.

Every mile from you, your friends and family help support refugees who are now living across the UK.
Each year, thousands of refugees need support to adjust to life in a new country. That’s where The British Red Cross come in. Their trained caseworkers guide refugees through the process of accessing education, employment, housing, and healthcare, including:

– Help for them to integrate into their community through social groups and language classes
– Support to those living in destitution with food parcels, clothing and travel costs
– Reuniting families who have been separated through conflict. Last year we worked with more than  30,000 refugees and asylum seekers and their families. This year, with your help, we can support many more.
