Who we work with in the sector

Our work within the voluntary sector spans a wide range of groups and organisations, and is not limited only to sports clubs. To date, those we have worked with include:

Cheshire Young Carers -

Cheshire Young Carers is a charitable organisation which supports young carers to access various services away form their caring duties at home. Active Cheshire is supporting them to develop opportunities for the young people to get active and imbed sport and physical activity within their programme.

The Youth Federation -

The Youth Federation is a Charitable organisation working with over 400 youth organisations in our area. The Federation look to support a variety of groups, including youth clubs, uniformed groups and smaller organisations. We are currently working with them to provide sporting opportunities in non traditional environments.

Chelford Activity Pathways -

Chelford Activity pathway is part of Chelford Village Hall. The group developed an aspiration to provide greater opportunities for its residents and created the pathway to develop sport and physical activity at the site. Active Cheshire has supported the development of the activities at the site an continues to support the plans to further enhance the provision.

Helsby Community Sports Club -

Helsby Community Sports Club is a sports and social club. The club has various sports sections including Football, Rugby , Running, Tennis, Angling and Bowls. The club have an exciting regeneration programme at planning stage and have some ambitions to further develop their current membership. Active Cheshire is supporting the club throughout this time and is supporting them to develop their junior sections across all sports.

Northwich Multisports Club -

Northwich Multisports Club is a disability sports club offering various sports activities to whole range of young people with impairments. The sessions are delivered by a group of volunteers. The sessions are really inclusive. Active Cheshire currently supports the club to fund some of their activities and has recently awarded them Clubmark under the County Sports Partnership license.

Vauxhall Motors Football Club in the Community -

Vauxhall motors are a Community interest company who deliver a wide range of educational courses but also deliver out in the community. Whilst attached to the club, they offer multi sport activities in and around the Ellesmere Port area. Active Cheshire supports the club in the development of further opportunities and providing bespoke training schemes for young people, especially those who are NEET.

Alderley Edge Hockey Club -

This is a very successful club, working with Active Cheshire to develop a disability specific section
