Supporting an Active Workforce

Sadly, our physical activity habits as humans have changed. Our lives have become far less active in recent years which has a direct impact on our physical health, mental health and wider wellbeing.

Active Cheshire’s mission is to address this and, with businesses like you, begin to make a difference; encouraging achievable and realistic changes to our day-to-day behaviours.

We spend a lot of time at work and with colleagues, so a little change during the day can make a big difference to you and your people.

I understand why I should be more active, but why is that important to our people and our business?

Employers who promote health in the workplace report benefits including:

  • Increased productivity;
  • Greater staff retention and commitment;
  • Improvements in communication, morale and team work;
  • A positive impact on stress and mental wellbeing;
  • A positive corporate image.

So, how can we work together to get our workplaces moving more?

  • Compete in the Cheshire & Warrington Team Games – challenge your rivals!
  • Join the Workplace Challenge (to compete in-house and externally)
  • Unleash your inner activity animal with a WildGoose adventure challenge (on or off-site)
  • Develop your own Blueprint to MOVE MORE

Whatever you do, however big or small, let’s work together to move more and do more.
