Active Cheshire are pleased to be working in partnership with Cheshire West and Chester Council to host its first "West Cheshire Walking Festival" during the month of May 2017, and we want you to be involved. The festival will be a series of exciting and varied walks which may take place in parks, open countryside, or in urban areas. We are collating as many walks that will take place during May 2017 which will be published as part of the festival brochure.
Inclusion in the brochure is free and a great way to promote your walk and organisation. You can submit more than one walk should you wish.
If you would like your walk to be included in the festival brochure please click here submit the walk online.
Alternatively you can download (a copy can be found in the related files section below), complete, and return to Nont Iamkamphaeng at Active Cheshire on email@example.com by Tuesday 31st January 2017 or by post to 1 Royal Court, Gadbrook Way, Gadbrook Park, Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 7UT.
We all know that walking is great as part of a healthy lifestyle and our main objective is to encourage the residents across the borough to walk more. We hope that you will submit your walk to help us get more people walking.
If you have any other contacts who may also be interested in this opportunity please notify them of this opportunity - we want to get as many walks and groups involved as possible for our first festival!
Please do not hesitate to contact Nont Iamkamphaeng if you have any questions or would like further information.
Such activities wouldn't exist without the fantastic volunteer walk leaders, who lead walks taking place around the borough.
As a volunteer walk leader, you would be helping people in your community to get active and healthy, providing vital support that they otherwise might not get. As well as ensuring walks are friendly, safe and well run, walk leaders are also our ambassadors for walking - showing people that walking really can make a big difference to their lives.
Training opportunities are available through the Walking for Health initative. Please find out via the website below for local training scheme.
