Celebrated local business leaders step up to support Active Charity

Active Cheshire, the lead body for sport and physical activity in Cheshire and Warrington are delighted to announce new appointments to their Board of Directors and also two exciting new appointment opportunities.

Kathy Cowell OBE DL, has been working with Active Cheshire as a Trustee since July 2014 and is stepping up into the role of Vice Chair and Chair of Governance.  Kathy is a board member for a number of other local organisations including Your Housing Group, Central Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust and Cheshire Young Carers.  With her background working in both the commercial and public sectors, Kathy provides a wealth of experience in governance and organisational change.

Stuart Davies has also been working as a Trustee on the Active Cheshire Board since July 2014 and is now taking the position of Chair of HR, Finance and Risk.  Stuart comes from a highly successful career in private sector leisure and management and is General Manager of the St David’s hotel near Chester.  He brings with him, strong commercial skills and a desire to work to exactingly high standards.
