Active Cheshire featured in ‘Championing the Public’s Health’ video by ITN Productions and RSPH

ITN productions in conjunction with the Royal Society of Public Health produced a video on 'Championing The Public's Health' featuring some of the work Active Cheshire have done in the community to improve health. It focuses on The Daily Mile initiative in schools, where children have an additional 15 minutes each day to get active by walking, jogging, running with their friends. The partnership initiative has been hugely successful and schools all over the country are now following our lead to tackle the problems of inactivity and obesity from an early age. The video also shows the impact of 'Cheshire Girls Can' - a local project run off the back of the national initiative, 'This Girl Can', which has demonstrated unique behaviour change by reaching truly inacitve residents, undertstanding the individual and introducing tailored activity habits into thier every day lives.
