Active Cheshire has teamed up with New Balance for the second year running to bring the innovative New Balance SparkStart programme to encourage more school aged children to get active. Through the programme and its launch activities, school aged children learn to become more active and so improve health, wellbeing and self-esteem. Active Cheshire have been commissioned to run the event which involves 75 volunteers from New Balance’s Warrington office.
Schools in Warrington are joining the 100 mile challenge which will run throughout the 2015/16 academic year and pupils can reach the target by running, swimming, walking, jogging or cycling 100 miles during the period in school or their own time. Schools will record each pupil’s miles, and as a reward, schools and participating pupils can receive exciting prizes along the way.
